Here is a collection of manuals relating to the Wang 2200,
2200 VP, and 2200 MVP. Nearly all of them are in PDF format.
If you have any manuals that aren't on this page
and are willing to share, please contact me.
Thanks to all the contributors
who have made this possible.
Below, the "Wang ID" is the publication identifier that Wang
gave to each document they created. For the 2200 family, these
are of the form 700-####. If a given document went through a
revision, it was suffixed by a letter, 700-####A, 700-####B, etc.
For the most part, I only have scanned a single version of a
manual even if I had more than one, but there are exceptions.
Some of the manuals went through significant change, so I scanned
both versions. The 2200 A/B BASIC Programming Manual
(700-3231) later became Programming in BASIC (700-3231E).
System 2200 Disk Memory Reference Manual (700-3159G) became
Wang Disk BASIC Reference Manual (700-3159I).
The following section contains documents generously
contributed by Paul Szudzik, formerly of Southern Data Systems,
formerly of Computer Concepts Corporation,
formerly a one-man-band reverse engineering Wang 2200 systems. In all three
incarnations, Paul and his employers developed 3rd-party products for the
2200 market. Some day I hope to have a section on the website describing
these products. Paul asked for and received permission from the SDS
principals to release this information. Thanks to them as well.
The documents below are the result of Paul's "white room" reverse
engineering of the operation of the Wang hardware and software. Most of
these PDFs have OCR'd text behind the images, so they are searchable.
